How I teach
Built around you, not a syllabus
Before anything else, we figure out how you think — what's clicked before, what hasn't, how you take in information, what's making things hard. The free consultation and first session exist specifically for this. Everything after is built on what we find.
Real understanding, not just exam prep
Good grades follow genuine understanding. I'm not interested in drilling past papers until something sticks. I want you to understand the material well enough that exam questions stop feeling like tricks and start feeling like things you can reason through.
Study methods that actually work
I'm genuinely obsessive about evidence-based learning — spaced repetition, active recall, interleaving. I used these methods in my own GCSEs and A-Levels and came out with A*s. We'll weave them into every session, and build revision materials that work with how your brain operates, not against it.
About Me
I'm a third-year university student with a long-standing obsession with science — not just the facts, but the stories behind them. How we've built everything we know over centuries of curiosity, wrong turns, and sudden breakthroughs. The ways discoveries ripple outward and change the world. The connections between things that seem completely unrelated until, suddenly, they aren't.
I've been teaching in various forms for years — in schools, community spaces, dance studios, and homeschooling environments. One thing has stayed constant across all of it: learning works best when it feels like collaboration, not a lecture. I don't think of a session as me transferring information to you. I think of it as both of us working something out together.
I have specific experience working with neurodivergent students, and I work especially well with learners who haven't clicked with the way science has been taught to them before — whether that's in a traditional school, or outside one entirely.
6 months full-time in-house science tutor at Beyond 8 High School — GCSE and A-Level, with a focus on personalised support for neurodivergent students
Designed and delivered two 5-month courses on space at BeMe — curriculum built from scratch, students aged 7–14
Self-directed learning facilitation at an alternative school — sitting with students during independent study, exploring topics together
Assistant dance teacher in classical ballet and Kathak — Lewis Foundation of Classical Ballet and Samarpan Academy of Culture and Education
Beyond teaching: I also have a background in science writing, research, and impact consulting — including founding an Impact Finance Initiative that works with social enterprises to help them raise funding and scale.
